The Ground Up

I started with a single RTX 4090, a lot of questions, and zero roadmap. The GPU rental space in 2023 was a maze of conflicting information, platform gotchas, and hardware decisions that could make or break your ROI before you even plugged anything in.

So I figured it out the hard way — through trial, error, Vast.ai support tickets, late-night driver debugging, and a lot of spreadsheet math. Then I started documenting it on YouTube so nobody else had to go through it alone.

Today I run a Threadripper/6×4090 rig and an EPYC/4090 machine on Vast.ai, manage a full Proxmox homelab with UniFi networking, and consult with operators ranging from first-time rig builders to multi-node data center clients.

My background is in electrical engineering (BSEE, University of Illinois) and business operations (MBA, Northern Illinois University), with 15+ years managing large-scale logistics operations. I care about systems, efficiency, and numbers that actually hold up — not hype.
